AUGUSTO BETTI
ARTISTA + DESIGNER
— Exhibition design
From the collaboration between Fondazione Carla Sozzani, which has always been attentive to the avant-garde in art and design, and the Bologna-based gallery Paradisoterrestre, which deals with re-editions and contemporaneity, comes the exhibition “AUGUSTO BETTI artist + designer” featuring his production at the turn of the 1960s and 1970s as part of Milan Design Week 2023 in the spaces of Corso Como 10. The installation curated by Elisa Ossino Studio highlights art and design reproductions and original pieces through a sinuous path by thematic areas with the use of large plastic curtains that evoke in their shapes and colors the atmosphere of the 1970s: the areas are marked by a large central “S” in transparent pvc slats that traces the shape of Augusto Betti’s iconic Noodle Chair, while curved mirrors and chocolate-colored vinyl curtains create the background and frames for all the works on display.
